    Awarded 2015 subsidy for companies in the manufacturing, commerce and service sectors to develop new business. Applied funds to develop a state-of- the-art machining center and in- flight measurement program for the development of machining technology to reduce weight of parts for motor vehicle engines.   • Kyowa Detroit Office Opened
    Kyowa opened a new office in Novi, Michigan to build closer relationships with the US automotive industry. (April 2016)
  • New State-of- the-Art Machine Tools Installed
    Kyowa installed seven of the newest technology machine tools made by Makino Milling Machine Co., Ltd., including two 5-axis simultaneous control vertical machining centers (MC D500), one vertical machining center (MC V77 1), and four horizontal machining centers (a61nx). (December 2015)
  • Exhibit at Engine Expo North America 2015
    Kyowa attended and exhibited at the Engine Expo 2015 in Novi, Michigan just outside Detroit. Engine Expo is an international show dedicated to automotive powertrain design, production and technology. (Oct. 2015)
  • Kyowa Silicon Valley Office Opened
    Kyowa opened a new office in Redwood City, CA to build closer relationships with Silicon Valley-based companies and research institutes. (Oct. 2015)
  • Chosen as JETRO Innovation Program Participant
    Kyowa was selected to participate in the JETRO Innovation Program which held a series of workshops followed by a Tech Match Japan event in California’s Silicon Valley. (Sept. 2015)

  • Awarded Energy Efficiency Grant
    Received grant under a program to support investments in energy efficiency, which we used to support conversion of existing lighting to LED lighting at each plant. (September 2014)
  • Awarded Innovation Subsidy
    Received subsidy to promote innovation by small and medium-sized enterprises in the manufacturing, commerce and service sectors for FY2013. Kyowa launched a plan to build a high efficiency production system at our high volume machining center in order to allow rapid development and production of prototype parts. (June 2014)
  • Chairman’s Passing
    Yasuji Suzuki, Kyowa’s Chairman of the Board, passed away at the age of 83 on November 18th, 2013. We mourn his loss and recognize with deep gratitude his lifetime of service to the company and his kindness to the people of Kyowa Industrial Co. We would also like to express our gratitude to the many customers and friends who attended his service and have offered their condolences to our company and team. (January 2014)
  • Awarded Grant for Promotion of Capital Investment
    Received grant for the promotion of capital investments related to the challenges of yen appreciation and energy restrictions in Japan (FY 2012).
    Kyowa adopted plan for investment in leading edge technologies to improve resource productivity for manufacturing of motorcase and other parts for next-generation autos, with the goal of addressing demands for increased quality, reduced cost and shortened delivery times for mass production prototypes.     Received Gunma Prefecture New Technology/New Product Grant (Next Generation Industry Promotion) (2013) Adopted business plan which aims to speed up prototype production process through development of new technologies for next generation automobile development and prototype manufacturing and reduced labor. (June 2013)
  • Awarded Prototype Development Subsidy
    Received FY 2012 prototype development subsidy for small and medium-sized manufacturing and business enterprises. Adopted business plan to add value through IT-based manufacturing information systems. The plan calls for rebuilding the production management system to reduce delivery time for development of prototype parts for the automobile and aircraft industries. (June 2013)

    Received award for contributions to industrial development at the 32nd Takasaki City Awards. (November 2012)
