Highly-skilled engineering talent
Kyowa is led by Ms. Hiroko Suzuki, the granddaughter of the company’s founder, Mr. Yoshio Suzuki. Our team includes nearly 100 highly skilled engineers, experienced craftsmen and machining specialists, many of whom have decades of experience in manufacturing and prototype production. The quality of our products depends upon the knowledge and experience of the team. Even the most advanced tools have their own personalities, so having deeply experienced machining experts is critical to delivering the highest level of quality.
While most of our design and production staff are based in Japan, we have recently opened two offices in the US – one in Silicon Valley, and another Novi, Michigan in the Detroit area. Our US team includes a veteran automotive engineer with specific skills in metallurgical and casting engineering to address immediate customer inquiries and coordinate with the support staff located in our headquarters in Takasaki City, Japan. Ultimately, we seek to become a full service supplier with all capabilities located in North America.
Kyowa’s state-of-the-art production facilities are located in Takasaki, Japan. Our seven buildings occupy 115,000 square feet and house more than 70 top-end machine tools.
Our large number of machine tools allows us to choose the precise machine suited for the specific machining task.
Direct Numerical Control [DNC]
Our engineering team is connected directly to the factory floor through an optical fiber network. This allows us to achieve exceptional efficiency by feeding our 3D CAM developed designs and NC data directly to our machine tools.
Kyowa’s processing equipment includes a wide variety of the latest machine tools.
Kyowa features a full range of precision measuring and inspection equipment to make sure that each part conforms to the tightest specifications.
Finishing and Inspection Equipment
The Kyowa team carefully completes production with a thorough finishing and inspection process. We utilize many different state-of-the-art inspection tools, such as our non-contact laser measuring tools and roundness and cylindrical profile measuring, to ensure that each component meets the precise requirements of the customer. We look for tolerances of +/- 0.05 mm.
Time-tested proprietary development processes
Rapid production cycles are critical to our clients’ success. Kyowa’s start-to-finish prototype process allows us to achieve some of the shortest turnaround times in the industry. A typical project can be completed in 4-5 weeks after receipt of 2D/3D data. The timeline can be shortened further with use of 3D printing technology.
